ERNiCrMo-3 is mainly used for gas tungsten arc welding or tungsten inert gas shielded welding to weld Inconel 625 alloy, Incoloy 825, 25-6MO alloy, and other molybdenum-containing stainless steels.
It can also be used for surface cladding of steel and for welding nickel steels and various corrosion-resistant alloys such as 20 alloy. Using ERNiCrMo-3 filler wire for submerged arc welding can be used to weld Inconel 625 alloy or nickel steels, or for surface cladding of steel. When performing submerged arc welding, INCOFLUX 7 submerged arc welding flux should be selected.

It exhibits excellent mechanical properties at high and ultra-low temperatures, resists strong corrosion in a wide range of oxidizing and reducing media, resists stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion.
Due to its high corrosion resistance, it can even be used for super stainless steel 904L. If not specifically required for high-temperature conditions, it can also be used for welding materials such as the Inconel series alloys 600, 601, and the Incoloy series alloys 800, 800H.
